Unbreakable Texas Teen Who Survived 3,500-Foot Skydive Fall Speaks Out
The unbreakable Texas teen who survived a 3,500-foot fall from a plane after her parachute didn’t open spoke out for the first time Thursday about how it felt to defy death.
“I pray every night, and I thank (God),” 16-year-old Makenzie Wethington said at a press conference from her Dallas rehab hospital.
“I say thank you for letting me still be here, for my recovery. I know he has a plan for me.”
Makenzie suffered a broken back, fractured ribs and hips, and mild brain damage when she crashed to earth following the accident at a skydiving school in Oklahoma on Jan. 25.
