After a rocky start, Charlie Strong and Texas have rebounded on the recruiting trail. But on Sunday night, they lost a big one.

Four-star Cy Falls outside linebacker Otaro Alaka flipped from Texas to Texas A&M. Here is his tweet:

I’d like to thank Coach Strong and UT for the offer but Ive decided to decommit from the university of Texas and commit to Texas A&M! #gigem

Alaka originally committed to Texas back in April but started exploring other options after Mack Brown resigned. He made an official visit to Texas A&M last weekend and hosted both Kevin Sumlin and Strong for in-home visits last week.

Alaka is the fifth prospect to decommit since Strong took over at Texas. He is the 22nd commit in Texas A&M’s 2014 class.
