Oregon Sends Mack Brown and Texas Home with a Loss
Mack Brown’s final game as the head coach of Texas has the potential to be a fantastic swan song.
Already, Texas players have commented and tweeted about how they want to usher Brown out on a high note. The motivation and effort in this game will probably be a lot like what we saw against Oklahoma in the Red River Rivalry.
And that’s a big problem for Oregon.
The Ducks won 10 games this season, but they have been a different team since the loss to Stanford. They’ve made uncharacteristic mistakes, played uninspired at times and looked – dare we say – average in the past four contests.
Quarterback Marcus Mariota, who was the Heisman frontrunner for much of the season, has struggled down the stretch thanks to a leg injury. Mariota threw four interceptions in his final two games after throwing none in his first 10 contests.
