Paula Deen Cries in Texas
Was this her first move on the road to redemption? Is a comeback even possible?
A thinner-looking Paula Deen stepped out in public for the first time on Saturday since her summer scandal (she admitted in June she used the n-word), and she was greeted warmly. Very warmly.
At the Metro Cooking & Entertaining show in Houston, the celeb chef, 66, broke down in tears as she received “thunderous applause during a 10-minute ovation,” reportsPeople.com.
Eater.com says it was more like a “full two-minute” ovation, but the love for Deen was definitely in the air.
