Rangers Seek Options After Losing the Trade for Justin Upton
On Thursday, baseball’s longest-running off-season drama finally came to a conclusion. Arizona traded Justin Upton.
At the end, the Rangers, the team that had worked hardest to acquire Upton during what became a nearly four-month vigil, were nowhere near the deal. Upton and third baseman Chris Johnson went to Atlanta in a seven-player deal in which the highest-profile player the Diamondbacks received was 29-year-old third baseman Martin Prado.
