Josh Hamilton Joining Rival Angels; Rangers’ Jon Daniels ‘Disappointed’
Rangers general manager Jon Daniels was informed shortly after noon Thursday by Mike Moye, agent to Josh Hamilton, that the former Texas outfielder will join the AL West rival LA Angels for a deal worth 5 years and $125 million.
The Rangers made an offer a week ago that featured less guaranteed money to the former AL MVP. According to Daniels, Hamilton indicated at that time that it might be time to move on, but the Rangers and Hamilton’s representatives kept talking.
